A young Columbus couple moves northeast into a historic Shaker home. They sought out Linda to inject their personality into the fresh space and create a confident, layered interior that captures their lifestyle and love for entertaining. The project flourished into a multi-level transitional update including dining room, hearth rooms and basement.

The traditional-style home craved modern definition. Linda brought charisma into the space with new furnishings, decor, and intricate detailing. A local artist revived the hearth room fireplace with a faux-finish paint technique.

The dining room was brightened with a soft color palette and layered with new furnishings and warm wooden textures to establish a cozy atmosphere. The neutral palette complements the room’s classic artwork. The homeowner’s beloved dog, Baxter, approves.

The raw basement was finished from top to bottom and converted into a polished home theatre. Linda began by lightening the walls and ceilings with white paint, evoking natural lighting in a windowless space. She then brought in a custom bar table and seating, along with a built-in drink station and beverage cooler to create the perfect canvas for home gatherings or movie nights.
